Romeos — The story
Released in 1989 from "The Breathtaking Blue," "Romeos" is unique in the Alphaville catalog. Rather than a traditional music video, the band commissioned a short film directed by Australian filmmaker Ian Pringle, starring a young Noah Taylor (later known for "Shine" and "Game of Thrones").

The meaning
"Romeos" explores themes of youthful rebellion, romantic longing, and the search for identity. The collaboration with an Australian film crew gave it a visual storytelling quality rare in music videos of the era.
